But yeah. With that out of the way...
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYPONY!So let's start with my month recap, December. Um...
That month was (and generally is) not it. It's always the worst month of my year in a sense. I have such social anxiety and low social battery that both go to waste very fast. So many events make me go all drowsy and moody despite all events being positive, like birthdays, Xmas, New Year's Eve, THE DUCKING ANNIVERSARY OF MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD HIMSELF?*sigh*
Talking about music, somehow, I still worked my way around to do some stuff, stuff like already having the playlist(?) of my very own debut album, heck yeah. It will be all over the place, there's a lot of noise, like FFFFF (I like that). It's like 10 tracks, ranging from Silent Hill Ambient, to Power Noise(?), to Eliminate-like Trap, to Hardcore. It's composed of music made in the magnificent 2020 and music made last year.
2024 was a year that happened. It's a year that I said, "Take it, flip it, reverse it" in an attempt to feel in control, LMAO.
What do you mean, Nao? Well, Reader...
So I went from stop supporting Spotify... to fricking giving money to
bucking Google. Yeah, that was a choice I made (in my defense, it was a
family subscription and I didn't spent money for it, just to be clear).
But still, I stuck with YouTube because, "oh, YouTube Music and Ad-less
YouTube, so cool". But yeah, I was somehow so so blind to Google working
on AI. It wasn't until I realized that I left and just went to Tidal.
And that takes me to the next point: Degoogling.
This year I made some degoogling.
Gmail? Google Calendar? *BOOM* Tuta.
YouTube? *BOOM* Patreon.
Gboard? *BOOM* HeliBoard.
Chromium (Brave)?*BOOM* Firefox.
Google Maps? *BOOM* Organic Maps.
And much more, but it was for the same reason, privacy stuff and just not
liking to support that much a monopoly.
A similar thing happened with DistroKid, after noticing they were into NFT back in the day and the laid-off of a lot of employees made me switch to Amuse.
And a quickfire: Mega to Filen, Dashlane to Kaspersky, Twitter to Bluesky, Adobe to Affinity, and some more I probably forgot....
MUSIC!
